Does it say specifically 7 Earth days? No, you can’t read the bible and take what is written completely literally. Some things could be metaphors and others not. Study it I am sure you will find many answers even though many more will be raised.

Then you clearly haven’t read it in its entirety nor studied it. I read it before I placed my decision on religion. I recommend you read the stories and not just hear about them.
You ought to question your own religion yourself and find that the truth is still on God’s side but in a different viewpoint. Athiest say that our God is cruel because of the stories in the bible about killing men and children and that it was commanded by God. Then that we should love one another yet we should go against homosexuals? What these books say clearly go against what God tells us so i believe that God isn’t held responsible for ALL of the bibles stories.
Can you honestly say that you believe and take word for word that the universe was created in seven earth days? When Science our so called rival has actually proven that the Earth itself is around 4 billion years old? Knowing humans These 7 days were actually trillions of years or however long scientist say it took and we rephrased it into these 7 days? Sure im religious but i will not be blinded and i seek the truth.
You follow the bible word by word And these Athiest who actually do their reading will find holes within the bible. God gave us a Conscious and let us do what ever we wanted with the religion that we were given. Do you honestly think that the stories wouldn’t of been faltered and changed over the thousands of years by thousands of different people from different lands?

The Bible was written by man, yes. But it was guided by God. Do you honestly think God would allow his word to be faltered? It is where we found out about God. You can’t take out parts of it. You would be making it how you want it to be which in itself is a sin.

No, you’re obviously not an “open-minded Catholic fellow” according to your other comments. If you were truly an “open-minded Catholic fellow” you’d actually research something before espousing hate rhetoric. Also, if you knew anything about proper Catholic doctrine (or Christian doctrine in general), you’d know that you should always capitalize God as well as the name of a religion.

and my parents are the same way. they dont know im gay, but they said if i was, they would only feel bad about the bullshit id go through. another thing for ur children (if gay), the last thing they want is ur sympathy for them. they dont want u to feel bad for them for being gay. thats how i am at least.

Well maybe not God But his followers go against it. I dont hate the person i just hate what they’re doing but i keep it to myself. It’s like someone smoking you hate that their smoking but you dont hate them. I honestly would be upset if my Children were gay and maybe other gays parents were to they just didnt say it and kept it to themselves. I want my children to fit in with the majority of society i wouldnt want him 2 go through Bullshit.
Even if i’m religious i still dislike Homosexuality its not how we were made to mate whether you believe in God or science. Humans first prioty in the beggining was to reproduce that was our species main goal. Now we’ve made a thing called society which takes us away from that. Like any other species we should be reproducing and spreading and living. Homosexuality isnt Pro-life and thats why Christians/Catholics and God Go against it. Thats why i go against it.

i am a gay teen and i am at full support of gay marriage. im sooo tired of hearing christian extremists complain about the sanctity of marriage cuz they think they own it. how they think ‘its all lust’ ‘gays cant love’ ‘its a choice’ ‘its against god will’. at first it was angering, then funny, now just plain annoying. gay marriage should be allowed, its a human right. homophobia is so straight…haha
