Having worked with the author and seeing him work with couples I know first-hand of his commitment to building healthy marriages. This book was formed in the crucible of personal experience and professional training. The book is transparent and insightful, filled with practical advice on how to build a vital marriage in the trenches of daily living. While a quick and easy read it challenges readers to reframe their traditional approaches, crush the myths, and adopt a new way of acting. Suggest that couples read with the husband reading and highlighting in blue and the wife reading and highlighting in pink and then discuss together the areas that are purple. The effort and discussion will deliver what the book title suggests: A Marriage Turnaround!

The Marriage Turnaround: How Thinking Differently About Your Relationship Can Change Everything
I ordered this by mistake, thinking it was tied to another institution.
After receiving this and initially being upset, I sat and read it not once but twice.
I found it to be well written in a simple and easy going style, short on babble big on depth.
If can not or will not accept God, then this will probably be somewhat over the top. This is definitely in the christian camp, but if you are truly seeking answers and solutions in a faltering marriage, then this just might hit home.
I have know reread this 4 times and gain further insight each time.
Make no mistake this is not a pill or potion that makes everything better, but Mr. Temple’s writing style and tone make one, or at least me, see a different perspective. It has,and continues to make our marriage stronger. My wife is now reading this and we have conversations on how both of us have been impacted by our choices.
The book itself is not overly long, easy to read, and compelling enough to keep going.
In short,if $15.00 is too much for your marriage, then the problems are probably much deeper. It was a mistake that I am glad I made.

This book is wonderful for couples and practitioners, as it combines real world examples and practical advice with Biblical references. I think couples will be able to relate to the stories and examples provided in this book, as Mitch shares his own joys and struggles in marriage.

The Marriage Turnaround: How Thinking Differently About Your Relationship Can Change Everything
Perfect for : Personal Use, Pre-Marriage Counseling, Couples who want to work on their marriage, engaged couples, newly married, married with problems, married wanting to avoid problems in the future, bible study group
In a nutshell: In his book, The Marriage Turnaround, Mitch Temple has cleverly brought together some common problems in marriage that stem from how we think. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to who have proven that the grass ISN’T always greener on the other side (Had a decent job, left for a better one in another state, tried to return to old job because the new one was not as good as it seemed it would be), but we always fall back on that age-old myth. In this book, Mitch Temple tackles some of the common relationship myths: attitudes, soul mates, need to change spouse, conflict is bad, etc. Additionally, he gives you help to tackle those myths and get back on a positive track in your relationship. This book would be great for anyone in a relationship, or anyone contemplating a relationship. Whether you have been married for 20 years, or 2. . . or maybe you’ve just become engaged, you are sure to find some helpful information in this book.
Extended Review:
Content: From the contents: The Myths That Can Make You Miserable, “Attitudes Don’t Really Count,” “I Need to Change My Spouse,” “I Didn’t Marry My Soul Mate,” “My Needs Come First,” “Happiness is Everything,” “It’s Okay to Be Rude - We’re Married!,” “I Shouldn’t Have to Ask,” “Conflict is Bad,” “A Crisis Means We’re Over,” “All Pain in Our Marriage is Bad,” and “Marriage is Just Too Hard.”
Format: Each chapter starts with a quote, often funny and realistic at the same time, and includes plenty of information, explained using real-life examples from the author’s life as well as others. Mitch Temple then shows you how to turn the problem (or relationship myth) around.
Readability: This was an enjoyable read, with plenty of real-life examples.
Overall: This book will bring a lot of hope (and conversations) to all relationships, whether you are engaged, newly married, or have been married for 20+ years. I would have loved to have read through this book with my husband when we were engaged so that we had even more positive influence in our lives going into marriage, but I’m happy to have discovered this book now, after 8 years of marriage.

The Marriage Turnaround: How Thinking Differently About Your Relationship Can Change Everything
“How changing your thinking = changing your marriage!” That is what Mitch Temple’s new book The Marriage Turnaround adresses.
John 10:10 says “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
We often forget that the thief can mess with our thinking! It is easy to have wrong thoughts and motives in our marriages. We must pray against this! Mitch Temple’s book is a wonderful depiction of how, if our mind is thinking on the things of God instead of the flesh, how abundant our marriages can be.
We highly recommend this book. Go to [...] and read more about Mitch’s book and ministry!
