I’m glad she’s a representative of my state. can’t imagine that the nays we’re anything but, ” who cares if a man and a woman love each other as long as they’re a man and a woman.” they miss the meaning and value of marriage entirely. they don’t understand, she does.

The votes in New York and Maine have my boyfriend and I bumming about our state getting marriage equality any time soon, but we know it’s a matter of time. All we want is a shot.
I used to believe that america was the home of the brave and the free, seems as if homosexuals still have a long way to go to be completely free,as long as government mixes religious bigotry & mumbo jumbo with fairplay, reasonable,compassionate and realistic debate,and stop hiding their misunderstandings,predujices and discrimination, I feel that all governments should stay out of bedrooms,I am proud to be an European, where we have learnt that same sex marriage is no threat to anyone,
Best speach I have heard in a very long time wise & wide comparisons indeed.After all what’s the problem,now if they were trying to make gay marriages compulsory,I could understand negativity,but only same sex adults who choose this option are affected here,no one will be forced to marry someone of the same sex,Not being American,can anyone tell me which way it fell? but if politics is equated with fair play and laying a level playingfield,seems logical that the vote would be positive in favor.
Nice to hear an issue presented so passionately and eloquently by someone that is objective and not swayed by any personal conviction other than what is the right thing to do.
