no no no.. Im not so sure that Bach wrote more complex music than Mozart. Some pieces maybe, but not all of them. One of the reasons why mozarts music was hardly played in his lifetime was because of the skills the musicians needed to play them. They did not have the skills.. With Bachs music by the way, well.. easy peasy japaneseeeeee..

@paulatreides123 In my opinion, there is no such thing as better. Only different. Bach was a little more dark and experimental, Mozart made the most beautiful and artistic songs. Just personal opinion, as you said.
this is so light and youthful, yet it was written by a mentally and emotionally tortured musician. why must the great suffer? this has always been one of my favorite pieces by mozart.

I think I’ve done it too, with this piece. The best was blasting Ride of the Valkyries in a movie theater parking lot with the windows down, with a car full of music students, after having seen Ponyo… because all of us heard a part in the movie score that sounded like it. (And Ponyo’s real name is Brunnhilde, etc…)
Bunch of college kids going to see a kids’ movie and blasting Wagner in the car. I love juxtaposition.

you know how these punk ass kids pull up to you with their really loud obnoxious music, try something really cool and pull up to folks with this piece cranked, you get the oddest stares, I’ve done it
I don’t believe it was one hour that he composed the entire overture. The manual task of writing the notes would take longer than one hour. He probably got it done in about 2 or 3. He wrote music like novelists write books,but he made no errors or adjustments. He just wrote what he felt. No mistakes whatsoever. He was brilliant.
yeah like the day before the premire of the Marriage of Opera he remembered he forgot to write an overture, so he just wrote it down like all of his other pieces of work, no mistakes
